Mexicali

I got a promotional email from Old Navy today with the following subject line:

Mexicali Styles for Women Starting at $24.50, Plus Free Shipping

Is it just me, but isn’t “Mexicali” a derogatory term? This is just like Cheese Nips.

    Mexicali is a city in Mexico.
    Look it up!!!

    Mexicali is a town in Mexico in northern Baja, but it is still used by some in a derogatory way. Check out definitions for and use of Mexicali in the Urban Dictionary.
